{Refrain:}
It is the Michel mother who lost her cat
Who shouts by the window to which will return it to him
It is the père' Lustucru which answered him:
Go, the mère' Michel, your cat is not lost.
Refrain:
On the air of tralala, ((a))
On laire of will tradéridéra,
And tralala.
It is the mère' Michel which required of him:
My cat is not lost, you thus found it
It is the père' Lustucru which answered him:
Give a reward, it will be returned to you
It is the mère' Michel which says: It is decided,
Thus return to me my cat, you will have a kiss
But the père' Lustucru which did not want any
He says: For a rabbit, your cat is sold.

AH !
